Robert Alan Barry's
Mission Statement
My mission is to serve my clients every real estate need. I strive to ensure every detail is taken care of leading to a smooth and satisfying transaction. I have a well earned reputation for anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a problem -- I understand the scale and emotion involved in what is most likely the single largest investment that my clients will ever make -- my goal is to maximize your equity and minimize your stress.

I believe it is imperative to earn my client's trust. Part of my formula involves allowing my clients to get to know me on a personal as well as professional level. With that in mind here is a brief snapshot of my personal and professional background:
-
I have completed a career involving nearly 30 years as a professional firefighter rising to the rank of Division Fire Chief. As a firefighter I was part of a culture that demands honesty, integrity, hard work, a "calling" to help those in need, and (often) a good sense of humor. I have successfully transferred those skills to my career in real estate -- I have a long track-record of distinguished service to my clients.
-
I have been with the Saratoga office of Coldwell Banker since 2004 -- I am blessed to be affiliated with such a fine group of real estate professionals.
-
I am a certified "EcoBroker" trained in recognizing "green" attributes in homes and identifying "green" mortgages. I am also a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the California Association of Realtors (CAR), the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors (SILVAR), and the Multiple Listing Service (MLS).
-
I have always had a passion and love for music. I try to see live performances throughout the year, as well as perform myself in a seven piece classic rock band -- I play tenor sax, and harmonica. I also serve as a volunteer for Villa Montalvo at their musical events.
-
I ride motorcycles, and for about two years after high school I raced competitively in such venues as the San Jose 1/2 Mile, Cow Palace Indoor, etc. Now I simply enjoy my recreational rides throughout Northern California on my 2006 Harley Davidson Road King Classic.
-
I graduated from Sequoia High School in Redwood City, College of San Mateo, St. Mary's College (BA in Management), and Notre Dame deNamur University (MA in Public Administration).
-
I have two wonderful and accomplished adult children, both of whom have graduated from the University of California at Berkeley -- My son Eric is a playwrite, and my daughter Brooke has a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry.
